User Interfaces Everywhere

User interfaces used to be confined to the desktops of computer users. Nowadays, user interfaces are everywhere besides a personal computer: cars, appliances, mobile devices, electronics, and equipment of all types. Yet, we seriously lack technologies that enable us to design, manage, and engineer user interfaces. No software tools or infrastructure of note exist for what, admittedly, is one of the most crucial components of any product.

At RedWhale, we are committed to radically changing how people design, develop, manage, and test user interfaces. Not only that, but we want to open a new set of user interface functionality that will enable entirely new interactive experiences for end users.

The foundation for all of our technologies is the eXtensible Interface Markup Language, XIML. This language provides a universal specification for interaction data and knowledge that enables a level of control over user interfaces never before possible. We intend to provide access to XIML on an open basis so as to foster its adoption and use.
